About This Course
Compact hands-on course on the most common emergencies involving babies and children. You train resuscitation (CPR) and ventilation for infants and children, how to relieve choking, the recovery position, and AED use. You also learn to recognize and respond to febrile seizures, croup, respiratory distress, anaphylaxis, poisoning, falls, and scalds. For parents, grandparents, and anyone who cares for children – no prior knowledge required.

Pediatric Emergencies – detailed information
The Pediatric Emergency Course for Parents from Simulation Tirol is a hands-on first-aid course for children – designed specifically for parents, grandparents, and anyone who cares for babies and children. At our training center in Hall in Tirol near Innsbruck, you practice on lifelike baby and child simulators and learn what truly matters in an emergency. No dry lectures, just hands-on training from the very first minute – no medical background required.
Children are not small adults: their breathing, circulation, and typical emergencies differ significantly. That's why this course covers both age groups – from infants to school-age children. You learn age-appropriate resuscitation (CPR) and ventilation for babies and children, how to relieve a choking child, the recovery position, and how to use a defibrillator (AED) on a child.
We also train the pediatric emergencies parents fear most: febrile seizures, croup and acute respiratory distress, anaphylaxis (allergic shock) and insect stings, poisoning, falls and head injuries, as well as scalds and burns. You will learn how to call emergency services correctly, what your pediatric first-aid kit should contain, and how to act calmly and confidently in those crucial first minutes.
The course is held in small groups with maximum hands-on time – every participant practices until the techniques become second nature. You receive a certificate of attendance at the end. The course fee of EUR 59 incl. VAT includes course materials, beverages, and snacks. Payment conveniently by invoice.
